KIT Team Sites

This IT service provides a central web-based platform for
collaboration and communication of teams at KIT
(organizational units, working and project groups).
If required, access can also be enabled for external users.

General
Team sites as a central information platform can optimize team collaboration. Based on Microsoft SharePoint Server Subscription Edition, the SCC implements integrative and topic-oriented web applications that, among other things, promote the efficient exchange of information in workgroups and teams as a central knowledge database and document repository.
KIT Teamsites provide the following features:
- Central announcements
- Events
- Task lists and project planning
- Document and image libraries
- Versioning of documents
- E-Mail Notification of changes
- OneNote
- Surveys
- contacts - also for use in Outlook
- Wikis
- Data Import and export from Excel spreadsheets

IT security and system access
Team sites are hosted on the internal network servers. In case of access from external networks with a kit account, please use Remote Access (VPN)
Activation access for external users: IT officers using this application form via the SCC ticket system can request this functionality.
