Microsoft 365 (M365)
General information
Microsoft 365 Education is a licensing program that bundles both cloud-based and locally installable Microsoft products in various license plans (A1, A3, A5).
The KIT is licensed for Microsoft 365 A3 via the EES contract.
Deployment
Even if the scope of Microsoft 365 A3 for employees and students differs slightly, the basic approach to obtaining the software is identical:
- Apply for access to the Microsoft Azure Active Directory via the SCC Self-Service Portal;
- Download the software via the Microsoft Office Portal;
- Activate your Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise with your Azure account (created in step 1).
Further information
For data protection reasons, some services (including the storage services OneDrive and SharePoint) are not available at KIT. This leads to restrictions when using certain applications (Microsoft Teams, OneNote, Whiteboard, etc.) and when using Office applications on mobile devices.
