Will disks be cheaper than tapes at some stage?
We need cheaper storage material
- GWDG is currently testing SONY AIT technology with 25GB (soon 50GB) at DM 120,-- the previous ratios then are 4,4% (soon 2,2%) and 9,2% (soon 4,6%)
This does not account for the cost of the robot and the server hardware.
